After moving to the United States
from Ecuador, Francisco began his ballet training at the University
of Louisville Dance Academy in Louisville, Kentucky in 1996.
In 2005 he was invited to continue
his training at the School of American Ballet where he graduated
in 2008. He has also trained at the Miami City Ballet and Stiefel
and Stars. Among others, Francisco has studied with Jock Soto,
Peter Martins, Edward Villella, Rolando Sarabia, Ethan Stiefel,
Johnny Eliasen, John Garner and Amanda McKerrow. In 2008 he
joined Boston Ballet's second company under the direction of
Mikko Nissinen.
He has performed a diverse repertoire
from which his featured roles include George Balanchine's "1st
and 2nd Themes" from "The Four Temperaments";
Balanchine's "Tarantella"; Jorma Elo's "Carmen
Illusions" and "Pointeoff"; the Peasant Pas de
Deux from "Giselle"; Jewels from "Sleeping Beauty"
and the Pas de Six from "Napoli", among others.
He has also performed with the New
York City Ballet where some of his featured and solo engagements
included Peter Martin's "Les Gentilshommes" in 2007,
and Jerome Robbins's "2nd & 3rd Part Inventions"
in 2008.
Francisco Estévez joined the
Corella Ballet in 2010. With the company has performed: "For
4"; Pas de Quatre in "VIII"; First Sailor in
"Fancy Free"; Neapolitan in "Swan Lake";
Boy in "Raymonda's suite"; Red Couple in "Bruch
Violin Concerto"; Trio in "Clear" and Soloist
Classical Couple "In the Upper Room".
