She started her dance studies
at the Africa Guzman School. She graduated with Honours at the
Royal Academy of Dance, later she joined its Youth Ballet. From
1999 she was first dancer of the Company. In 2003 was invited
to participate at the Adelina Genee Compettion in Sydney and
to dance at the Best Dancer ACADE Gala.
Casa went on with her studies
at Steps on Broadway and at ABT Ballet School. In 2005 she danced
at the New York International Ballet Competition where she obtained
a recommendation from the ABT Studio Director, Mr. John Meehan.
She got first prize at the
Castellón City Awards, granted with a scholarship to
study with the Compañía Nacional de Danza de Nacho
Duato and with The London Studio Center, then joining to this
company.
She has been working at the
Ireland Ballet and at the English National Ballet.
Cristina Casa has performed
soloist and principal roles as: Aurora and Golden Fairly in
"The Sleeping Beauty"; Stepsister in "Cinderella";
"La Serenada"; "La Vivanderie"; "Giselle";
Gamzatti Suite in "La Bayadère"; "Carmen
Suite"; Claire in "The Nutcracker"; Kitry and
Don Quixote's friend in "Don Quixote"; "Pineapple
Poll"; Small Swans and Black Swan Pas de Deux in "The
Swan Lake"; "Diana & Acteón Pas de Deux";
"Concerto Barrocco"; George Balanchine's "Tchaikovsky
Pas de Deux Variation" and "Who Cares? varation".
On Contemporany repertoire she has performed Complexión
Contemporany Ballet's works with Desmond Ricardson and Sandra
Brown, and also Técnica Limón works as "Choreographic
Offerin".
In 2008 she jointed Corella
Ballet and was promoted to Soloist in 2009. Her roles with the
company include: First and Second Variation in Makarova's "La
Bayadère"; Red and Pink Pas de Deux in "Bruch
Violín Concerto"; Soloist Classical Couple "In
The Upper Room"; Fourth Principal Couple in "String
Sextet", Quartet in "VIII"; First Girl in "Fancy
Free"; "Epimetheus"; "The Taming of the
Shrew Pas de Deux"; "Swan Lake Pas de Trois",
etc.
